The Hon Chris Bowen MP, Minister for Climate Change and Energy
The Albanese Labor Government has secured another 100 million litres of diesel for Australia as a result of our efforts to work with industry to keep Australia moving.
The Albanese Government is keeping our regions moving with approximately 50 million litres, or 300,000 barrels, of diesel heading to Queensland communities, including Townsville, Gladstone and Mackay.
The Government is directing diesel to where it is needed most, ensuring that all Australians, including those that live in regional and rural areas, get the fuel they need.
By partnering with Ampol and continuing our partnership with BP Australia and Viva Energy, we have secured approximately 400 million litres of additional diesel in the last seven days.
We'll continue to work with Park Fuels, IOR and Incitec Pivot and CSBP, to help secure additional fuel and fertiliser shipments.
The Albanese Government is securing essential fuel and fertiliser supplies to safeguard Australians from the impacts of continuing global volatility, and to keep our nation and our people moving.
