Australian Companies the Winners through Business Club Australia: Melbourne 2006

With just eight days to the Commonwealth Games, Australian companies are already well placed to achieve success through their participation in the official international business program, ‘Business Club Australia: Melbourne 2006’.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade, Mark Vaile, today welcomed the enthusiastic response from Australian and international businesses to the joint Australian and Victorian Government program which assists companies to create and grow profitable international business links.

“Over 6,000 businesses from Australia and around the world have already become members giving them access to the many benefits offered by this innovative business program, including online services, business matching and networking events.

“Business Club Australia: Melbourne 2006 presentsAustralian businesses with a unique and effective opportunity to find new international markets and develop strategic overseas contacts,” Mr Vaile said.

“The Club offers members the opportunity to participate in more than 30 tailored business events during the Games, ranging from industry seminars to networking functions focusing on significant markets, such as China, India and Canada.
