Sarah Israel Appointed to EFIC Board

Trade Minister, Mark Vaile, today announced the appointment of Sarah Israel as a member of the Board of the Export Finance and Insurance Corporation (EFIC).

Ms Israel is employed with Midland Oil & Gas Ltd, the landowner participant in the Papua New Guinea to Queensland Gas Project, and has extensive experience in project finance, investment banking and regional development.

She is also currently a director of Queensland Sugar Corporation, and has previously chaired and been a director of several Queensland Government agencies.

Mr Vaile said she would bring valuable business and corporate governance skills to the EFIC Board, as well as extensive exporting experience.

Ms Israel holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting & Finance) and is a Fellow of both CPA Australia and the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
