AWARD winners showing the way for business in asia
Presenting the 1995 Business Asia Awards in Sydney tonight, the Minister for Trade, Senator Bob McMullan, said the winners represented a cross-section of the diversity and excellence of Australia's exports, and were fitting role models for Australian companies seeking to export to Asia.
Senator McMullan said the Awards recognise the importance of Australia's economic relations with Asia.
"I am especially pleased that the Awards, now in their second year, reflect the growth in our exports from high technology and services firms," Senator McMullan said.
"They are also a tribute to the success of networking and cooperation between Australian and Asian institutions and organisations. I congratulate all the nominees on their important contribution to Australia's economic integration with the Asia-Pacific region."
